| News – Early Years RegistrationKing George VI PS invites all parents to register their children for September 2012 Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten Classes from February 13 to 17 during normal school hours, except on February 15 when the office will be open until 5:30 p.m. Children, four years of age on or before December 31, 2012 may be registered for classes beginning September, 2012. It is important that parents register their children at this time to allow us to plan class sizes for September. It is not necessary to re-register for Senior Kindergarten if your child is presently attending Junior Kindergarten in a Lambton Kent public elementary school. Documentation showing proof of age must be presented at registration. | |

King George VI School operates under and within the educational policies as prescribed by the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training and the Lambton Kent District School Board. |
Principal’s MessageThe staff, students, and parents of King George VI Public School have been incredibly welcoming to all of the new staff and to me, and I am thrilled to be part of this community. We have high expectations for our students. This year we will use the four TRIBES agreements to remind students about proper behaviour at school: The staff and I look forward to working together with you to provide the best possible educational programmes for our students. We trust that your children will find their educational experiences and associations at King George rewarding. Developing the literacy and numeracy skills of our students is the focus of our programs. However, one cannot attain skills in isolation. I believe that we are part of a learning community that must provide a safe and secure environment and foster character attributes, such as respect and responsibility while improving student achievement. My role is to support teachers as they create activities that enhance children’s learning. This support varies, and keeps my job interesting. As communication plays such a vital role in connecting our school with families and the community, I invite you to take full advantage of this website and/or to contact the school with your questions, concerns, and suggestions.
