Principal’s Message

It was with great pleasure that I accepted the position of Principal at King George VI School. In many ways returning to King George has felt very much like a homecoming for me. I have always felt like part of this community and returning is a wonderful opportunity to assist in the development of our students and become part of the King George family again.

King George VI has always taken pride in the development of the whole child. Although our emphasis is academic excellence, we also endeavor to provide many rich opportunities for character development and citizenship. Understanding that each person in our community has a valuable contribution is what makes King George VI such a special place. We promote a positive, safe, inclusive and respectful environment for staff, students, parents and community members alike.

We also have extremely supportive School Council who strive to provide opportunities for students that would not be possible without their moral and financial support. Our students value learning and respectful working relationships with staff. Like our staff, students are focused on day-to-day learning activities and extra-curricular fun.

I think that we all agree that King George VI is an awesome place to be!
